Overview & Reviews
For 2006, the Crown Victoria LX gains nine-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a trip computer is now standard on the LX and LX Sport. An alarm system has been made optional on all models.
- Low price, rear-wheel-drive performance, standard ABS, room for six, comfortable ride, excellent crash test results.
- Large size makes it difficult to park and maneuver, dated interior styling.

Used Crown Vic. Cant go wrong - 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
By Wiley Wesson - October 16 - 3:53 amGot 23.5 mpg driving back from San Diego the day of the purchase. Put duals on it and got 28.9 mpg. Power is more than enough, comes out of passing gear at 90 mph and handles quite well in winding roads, not much leaning and didnt break lose unless put into the curve really hard. Im 63" and find more than enough room for me in the drivers seat or shotgun.. rear seats no. Road noise on concrete Hwy is a bit loud. Going to put some QuietCar in the trunk, which is super big and can handle all.

If you dont have one, get one - 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
By Peshopavlov - December 28 - 2:00 pmI am a Ford guy and I owned couple of Tauruses before but when I bought my Crown Vic I discovered a completely new class of vehicle. The comfort and the style beat any other car on the market; the price too. Ive been in many cars (I am not fan of SUVs) but the size and almost classical style make it stick out in the sea of compact imports. It can always use some more power but the stock engine is easily upgradeable to about 300HP with couple of mods. Its easy to work on the engine if youre into that - there is a lot of room under the hood to add stuff too.

Ford Fantastic - 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
By Chris Ramas - April 6 - 7:43 amThe Ford Crown Victoria is an excellent, dependable family sedan which surprisingly is also fun to drive. I purchased one with the sport suspension which gives the large, comfortable sedan great stability on the road, especially while negotiating tight corners. ABS and traction control add peace of mind on slick pavement. This is my four Crown Vic since the current platform debuted in 1991.

Former Lexus owner - 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
By Lee - December 15 - 8:00 pmThis is my first Ford. Im a 36 year old woman who has always owned imports and sports cars; I sold a Lexus LS 430 and a Porsche 911 when I bought this car. Purchased it with 9k miles for $15k from my local dealer. I wouldnt pay sticker price (at $30k new) but for $15k I feel I have a safe, reliable, large sedan with real wheel drive and a V8. Is it as refined as my Lexus? No, but it didnt cost $60k. The styling is dated, but I dont mind people having to take a second look to see if Im a police car. The best thing about this car is that every time I get in it I am reminded that I have a lot more money in the bank than if I drove a "luxury" car. Excellent value!

Solid Vehicle - 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
By supreme2005 - July 20 - 1:56 pmI bought my Crown Victoria two years ago and I now have just under 50k on it. I havent had a single problem with it during its entire lifetime. It hasnt been in the shop except for regular oil changes. I feel extremely safe in this car; its very solidly built. I bought this particular car over a similar 2002 Sport model because it had a much firmer ride with better road feel. Its very fast with ample power for freeway merging.

Crown Vic LX Sport - 2006 Ford Crown Victoria
By Roy LaGrone - March 19 - 3:46 pmFun sported car to drive, center console and shift makes me feel 17 again. Very comfortable, and extremely safe car. One of lowest insurance ratings available. Besides I do not mind people thinking I am an Alabama State Trooper.
